The 'Read with me' chair is designed to encourage regular story time between adults and children, the concept focuses on creating an almost encapsulated environment in which the child can become engaged within the story and maintain a sense of closeness with the storyteller through physical contact. The design aims to create a story telling zone which the users can flow into, the two levels of height transport the adult into the childs world which gives a sense of unfamiliarity and bring the child up to a level which will give them a greater connection with the storyteller.
